11th August 2025 : Menstrual hygiene Awareness Program: Simada - surat

A Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Program and Sanitary Pad Distribution Drive was organized on August 11, 2025, in Simada, Surat by Suwasini Trust and Dr. Urvashi Mishra. The program was conducted at Samrat Ashok Primary School No. 303 with the objective of promoting awareness about menstrual health among girls. Participants were educated on the importance of hygiene, its benefits, and safe practices during menstruation. As part of the initiative, sanitary pads were distributed free of cost to all students. The program successfully encouraged healthy practices, raised awareness, and empowered young girls with confidence, dignity, and essential knowledge for better health.
